Answer: John

Explanation:

The quantity of each leftover ingredient was:

¼ cinnamon = 0.25

⅓ nutmeg = 0.33

½ ginger = 0.5

⅝ pumpkin = 0.625

Since Quincy used the most ingredients, she must have used the ingredient with the lowest leftover: cinnamon.

On the other hand, since Lucy used the least amount, the ingredient she used must be pumpkin, because it has the highest leftover.

That leaves us with ginger and nutmeg as the remaining ingredients.

If Prudence used more of her ingredient than John, she must have used the one with the lesser quantity of leftovers: nutmeg.

Therefore, John used Ginger.

Which statement provides the most concrete supporting evidence for the author's argument that heatstroke can be very dangerous t
ankoles [38]

Answer:

D) Over the past ten years more than two dozen athletes have died from the medical condition known as heatstroke.

Explanation:

A "supporting evidence" is something that backs up a claim to be true. It provides support by<em> showing an important reason about the argument.</em>

Among the choices above, choice D supports the evidence that <em>"heatstroke can be very dangerous to younger athletes.</em>" The statement supports the claim with an evidence that many athletes (two dozen) have actually died because of heatstroke. <u>Such statement compels the readers that the claim is true or valid.</u>

So, this explains the answer.
