The image on the left shows the Hungarian flag as it appeared during the Cold War. The symbol in the middle of the flag is the c
eduard

Answer:

C. an attempt to overthrow communist rule in Hungary

Explanation:

The Hungarian flag was bearing the Rakosi coat of arms, reflecting the communist rule in Hungary. The Hungarians though despised the Soviets and being under their control, so they made a revolution. The Hungarian Revolution had its own flag, and the flag was totally the same, apart from the Rakosi coat of arms being cut off from it, thus having a white gap in he center. The meaning of this feature on the flag was that the Hungarians want to overthrow the communist rule in the country, and that the communism and the Soviet rule doesn't have place in their society.

More than 4000 years ago, the Phoenicians settled on a territory that today belongs to Lebanon and part of it to Syria. They occupied a narrow strip of land between the Lebanese Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, of approximately 25 miles wide and 125 miles long.

Despite of this apparent unfavorable condition, their coast was marked by a landscape suitable for ports at their main cities and their lands were filled with cedar trees, which provided the wood for their ships. Besides that, they stood at the main waypoint for commercial Asian caravans that traveled to trade with the big nations of the Mediterranean, like Greece and Thrace.

What was the significance of the cattle drives from Texas to Missouri in the late 1860s?
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

Rail communication between Texas and the rest of the United States was insufficient during most of the 18th century. Texan ranchers needed to take their livestock to a place where it could be distributed and sold to the rest of the country.

The best place was Saint Louis, Missouri, because the city became the port of entry to the American West, and connected the West with the East with rail lines.

Texan ranchers therefore hired cowboys to transport the cattle from Texas to Missouri in a long, dangerous journey. The cattle could get stolen in the way, or it could become stray. Thus, the job of the cowboy was a very difficult and important one.
