Adoption of the Cuneiform aspect of Sumerian culture throughout Mesopotamia represents the concept of cultural diffusion.

Cuneiform was developed in the Sumerian culture. It is the worlds first system of writing. Pictures and symbols were used to represent objects on slates. This system was adopted and widespread in the ancient middle East.
