One all black musical theatrical production that has been on Broadway is The Color Purple.
This play originally ran from 2005 until 2008. There was a revival of the play and it was on Broadway again from 2015 through 2017
African Americans had to do the jobs no one really wanted to like digging trenches. They also were seen as not equal to other regiments so they were handed inferior equipment. They didn’t get the same medical equipment others had. They also got paid less then white soldiers.
