What do you think might happen to Socrates if he lived in the United States today? What did you base your answer on? PLEASE HELP
grigory [225]
I think Socrates wouldn't had been killed if he lived in the United States today since citizens of the United States have freedom of speech. Socrates was simply killed because he didn't recognized the gods recognized by the states as gods. In the United States Socrates has freedom speech meaning that he is able to publicly criticized the gods without any danger. He corrupted the youths of Athens by saying the gods they followed are faked. In the United States today, he would still be alive. I based my answer on today's political system and the how Socrates was killed simply by telling the people what he really believes.

The conflict between Texan and Mexican troops in Anahuac was caused by the arrest of William B. Travis and Patrick C. Jack.
emmainna [20.7K]

It is TRUE that the conflict between Texan and Mexican troops in Anahuac was triggered by the unwarranted arrest and imprisonment of William B. Travis and Patrick C. Jack, two prominent fighters against the "Siete Leyes" issued by the government.

The changes based on "Siete Leyes" placed all governmental powers in the hands of the Mexican national government led by Santa Anna.

These government changes angered the Mexicans and Americans in Texas, leading to the Texan Revolution and the brief existence of the Texas Republic between 1836 and 1845.

Thus, the arrest of the duo triggered the Texas-Mexico conflict.

wariber [46]

Answer:

The revolt of Spartacus began, more or less, as an accident; the original plan of the gladiators, according to the historian Plutarch, was simply to escape Their Slavery. The actual motivations behind Spartacus' revolt do not detract from his accomplishments, however.
