The relationship between the book And Still We Rise and the melting pot is that  they both show the discrimination, disenfranchisement and violence that certain groups of people faced in the society.

The melting pot is about a Jewish family. There had been a violent riot and massacre were Jewish people were targeted and killed. David's mother and sister were killed in this riot.

And still we rise, is a about some of the challenges that Black students faced in the United States of America. They were often disenfranchised and discriminated on.

In conclusion, the melting pot is about religious and ethnic discrimination, while and still we rise is about racial discrimination.
