Answer:

Ordinary people practice eugenics every day by following superstitions and making judgements about people or groups of people (whether they are conscious or not) and trying to "better" the human race in a number of ways. Examples of this are: superstition, racial profiling, the good ol boy system, institutionalization, population control, tattoos and piercings, and genetic enhancement

Read the sentence from the article: "it's drought-proof, that's one of the most important" things, said water-use expert bob yam
bonufazy [111]

The ability of the local natural and human production resource base to supply a desirable amount of food, drinking water, livelihood resources during a drought is what is meant by "drought proofing" a place.

The main factor behind agricultural loss on a global scale is drought, which inserted a serious risk to the availability of food. When it comes to creating crops that can produce large yields in water-limited settings, plant biotechnology is now one of the most promising topics.

The primary drought stress response pathways have been identified through research on complete Arabidopsis thaliana plants, and numerous drought resistance genes have already been inserted into crops. Since most plants that have improved drought resistance have so far had lower crop yields, new strategies to decouple drought resistance from plant growth are still needed.

Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

the number of houses ≈ 8.25 million houses

Explanation:

Given that:

A typical house in the United States uses about 10,900 kWh,

1 TWh (terawatt-hour) =1×10^6 GWh (gigawatt-hour) =1×10^9kWh (kilowatt-hour)

The three Gorges Dam in China produces about 90TWh of electricity each year. If it was to to be built in the United states, the number of houses such a plant would be able to provide the electricity for in a year is given as:

Number of houses = Amount of electricity produced in a year / amount of electricity used by each house.

Number of houses = 90 TWh /  10,900 kWh = 90 × 10⁹ kWh /  10,900 kWh = 8256881

Therefore the number of houses ≈ 8.25 million houses

What is density? How is the density of air affected by its temperature?
Doss [256]

Answer:

1. Density is the amount of matter in a given volume or area. Density is also described as a measure of the compactness of matter. It is determined by dividing the amount of mass of a substance by its volume. D=m/v

2. As air is heated its density decreases because its mass remains constant but its volume increases. As air is cooled, its density increases because its mass remains constant but its volume decreases

What is the purpose of data encryption algorithm?
Over [174]

Answer:

security/protection

Explanation:

The main purpose of a data encryption algorithm is security/protection. These algorithms grab data and change it into indecipherable code. This code can only be decrypted using a key that has been uniquely created for that exact piece of data. Usually, when the encrypted data and key have been created the key is given to the select few that need to have access to the data. This process helps protect the data from being seen or manipulated by unwanted parties.
