What's the correct answer?
OleMash [197]

Answer:

C. overly simple and unrelated to the issue

Explanation:

India was under the British government for many years, but after the Salt Act that prohibited collecting and selling salt, people wanted to stand up to the monopoly.

Gandhi thought of the idea of simple and nonviolent civil disobedience – he and his followers would march every day to the Arabian sea to collect salt and go against the law. While Nehru admired Gandhi, he and many people thought this was a simple act that is too weak for the resistance.

In the end, however, people joined in all across India. and changes were made.

I love to read "Shakespeare."
Elanso [62]

No, this is not a metonymy. As the sentence is "Don't leave this 'room'," said Steven, it does not have any extraordinary words to describe the simple sentence.

What is meant by metonymy?

By utilizing metaphors, writers can boost the impact of specific words or sentences. Even the most banal words can acquire complexity and meaning when they are used as synonyms for other words. There are two examples of metonymy in the adage "the pen is mightier than the sword."

Metaphorical language occurs when the name of an object or concept is altered to a word that is strongly associated with or inferred by the original

Thus, No, this is not a metonymy

• When you think of the South, what comes to mind? And why?
Olegator [25]

Answer:

I think of slavery, the farms, and crops, home cooking, country, and blues music, and raised plantations. I think this is because of history where the South wanted to keep slavery for the plantations. The farms and crops are techinqually the plantations where slaves worked non-stop in harsh conditions. Home cooking is what a lot of Southerner people do in my opinion. I think of country and blues music because of Tennessee.
