Racism hugely effects economically. Theres a thing called gentrification and white flight. Gentrification example is Hawaii. Hawaii is a brown state, but because of white people moving there the natives are forced to leave their homes. White flight is when a neighborhood is white, but has an increasing number of minorities moving into the area, and because of that, and the people not wanting diversity the white people leave, thats why its called white flight.

You can look into it a lot more but that majorly effects the US, in places like New York, New Jersey, Detroit, Hawaii, California etc

Which literary device does Dickinson begin with the phrase "setting sun"? alliteration metaphor personification sarcasm
Ahat [919]
A metaphor is comparing two unlike objects without the use of the words like or as.  Metaphors are usually symbolic.  An alliteration is a group of words that have similar letters or sounds.  Personification is giving an inanimate object the characteristics that a person would have.  Sarcasm is the use of irony to mock.  You must decide from here.

What knowledge can you gain from science courses that you can apply in life?
Finger [1]

Answer:

I will conclude that modern science, narrowly defined, would be an integral part of some kind of daily life. Further clarification is given below.

Explanation:

  • Yeah, science needs a great dealing of advanced theoretical knowledge, does as well something worth performing. The central method is fundamental, however, because if you concentrate on it, people will find that science isn't even that different from the common activities.
  • Everything is part of the overall mechanism of "trying to make yourself a human with whom you would like to share the entire lives."

20 POINTS!!! HELP ASAP
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

Atticus: His biggest fear is letting Jem and Scout know about the hatred in the world because it will get rid of their innocence. His strength is that he is a man who is full of courage. He does what is right even if it is unpopular and even if he loses in the end. His only weakness is that he is keen on keeping the letter of the law and forgets that the spirit of the law is more important.

///

Scout: One could argue that her biggest fear is that she will have to grow up, she acts as defiant as she can when people try to push her towards adulthood. Her greatest strength is her honesty. She is not shy about asking questions and she speaks directly. At the beginning, Scout's greatest weakness is her lack of self control. She lets her emotions take over and stays defiant no matter what. She eventually learns how to control some of these emotions by the end of the book.

///

Jem: His biggest fear is that Atticus will never see him as an adult. Atticus is the  role model that he strives to be. His impulsive nature is his weakness. He acts on his emotions throughout the book. Once at Miss Dubose's house and again at Tom's trial. His mortality grows to be one of his biggest strengths as he can see the awful racism and discrimination in the town while Scout can not as her eyes are clouded by a rose glass.

///

Boo: His greatest fear is being seen, he has many issues that are spoken about him and many people believe them. His greatest strength is his perception. He has a wise mind and he knows exactly when to do something and when not to. his greatest weakness is his shyness. He yearns for a friend and people to connect to, but he cannot speak out no matter how much he tries. Instead he hides in the shadows and tries to use his actions to represent his emotions without owning up to them.

Give two reasons why both men and wmen could become vii victims of violence
Alex777 [14]
The first reason is because woman have a lot of emotions that can lead to anger. When boys get mad they fight each other.

The second reason is because sometimes when boy and girls have best friends , something can happen between both of them. For example, when your best friend talks behind you back you start arguing which can lead to violence.
