The elements of art are color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value.

Using this, we can see the element of art that is texture is used when creating the lifelike appearance of a chicken, specifically the feathers. The color is important as well, seeing as the man and chicken stand out against the white background. The chicken is the first thing the eyes are drawn to, as red is a color that human eyes are drawn to first.

Space is also important, due to the odd positioning. The chicken is in the foreground; which also makes us look at it first. We also have the man looking at the chicken, in his direct line of sight. Which eventually leads us to form, where we can see that in the body type of the man, as well as his positioning looking at the chicken. Then, finally is value, which is the light/darkness of a color. We can see that the rest of the colors have low value, as they're almost a pale white. (The table has a small hint of blue.) It draws our eyes, again, to the chicken and man.
