Los verbos saber y conocer, aunque tienen significados parecidos no son intercambiables y su uso está establecido gramaticalmente.​

Conocer se utiliza para indicar que se tiene relación con personas o cosas.​

​Conocer se utiliza para indicar que hemos visitado un lugar.

Conocer se utiliza para indicar que encontramos a alguien por primera vez.​

Saber se utiliza para indicar conocimiento de hechos.​

Saber se utiliza para indicar que se poseen habilidades que se aprenden.​

También se utilizan conectores distintos después de estos verbos.

Habitualmente después de conocer se utiliza : a,
