The Roman Republic, much like the later Empire, collapsed for a myriad of reasons. But to name off a few, the reasons they collapsed are for, greed, civil war, and overspending. These factors caused the Roman Republic to go for corruption. Over time these factors cause so much chaos, the the Roman Republic eventually fell apart, and ended.

The United States had refused recognition to the USSR for 16 years after the Bolshevik takeover. Domestic fears of communism erupted in a Red Scare in America in the early Twenties.
