Answer: Probably because in South Africa there is drought (not enough rain to support the crops and the crops died). South Africa has weak economies and cannot provide support for food. There is diseases such as AIDS and malaria. South Africa has a poorly organized/corrupt government.

An unconformity between two sedimentary layers is classified as a disconformity.
Karolina [17]

True

Explanation:

An unconformity between two parallel layers of sedimentary rocks is classified as a disconformity.

A disconformity is a type of unconformity.

An unconformity is a significant break in the stratigraphic record of a formation. There are different types of unconformity;

  • A disconformity is an unconformity between parallel layers of sedimentary rocks.
  • A non-conformity is an unconformity between two different rock types.
  • A para-conformity is an unconformity between two parallels layers marked by differences in fossil age.
  • An angular unconformity is an unconformity between two layers that are at an angle to one another.

The main cause of unconformity is usually non-deposition and erosion.
