I am very confused with preterite and Imperfect help!!!
denpristay [2]

Preterite is the normal past tense talking about events. Eg i went to the park with my sister = Fui al parque con mi hermana.

Fui in this case is the preterite

For imperfect it is what you used to do before but do not do any more. Usually ends in

aba

abas

aba

abamos

Explain how stem-changing -ir verbs are different from stem-changing -ar and -er verbs in the present subjunctive.
SashulF [63]

Answer:

So, if you are using the verbs -ar and -er,

example: Correr, Run. Saltar, to jump.

most of the time, you are talking on your present tense.

If you use an -ir verb, you are talking in the future tense.

example: Abrir, to open. dormir, to sleep.

those are sentences that you're going to use, talking about the future. something you wan to do later, or next.

Explanation:

So, the difference is that -ir is for the future tense

and that -ar -er are for the present, tense.
