Orson Welles used for “War of the Worlds” Radio Broadcast sound effects to keep the audience attentions, Ora Nichols fom the sound effect department used chillingly effective noises for the Martian war machines. Welles also used an imitation of real broadcast, he said “I had conceived the idea of doing a radio broadcast in such a manner that a crisis would actually seem to be happening,” also said, “and would be broadcast in such a dramatized form as to appear to be a real event taking place at that time, rather than a mere radio play.”
Laura judges Rita by looks instead of actually finding out by asking. Never judge a book by its cover as they say. Also Laura focused more on Rita than herself causing herself to fall behind. Hope it helped.
