English

Theresa Bejan used classification to support her thesis that free speech was now a partisan issue by

  • classifying the two concepts of free speech namely, Isegoria and Parrhesia.

In the text, "The Two Clashing Meanings of Free Speech" the author explains that while these two concepts are thought to mean freedom of speech today, the Athenians had different meanings for them.

Isegoria meant the equal rights that all citizens had to engage in public debates. Parrhesia stood for the authorization that citizens had to express their thoughts in the manner that they desired.

Therefore, the classification of free speech into Isegoria and Parrhesia was used to back the text's thesis.

With whom does Peter have the most conflict and why? Margot, because she hardly talks to Peter. Anne, because she is always tryi
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

Anne, because she is always trying to pet his cat and writing in her journal.

Explanation:

Since Anne is always trying to hurt the cat and always writing in her diary, Peter thinks she is a friendly and sensitive person who will understand his feelings about everything that is happening. He sees Anne as a person he can talk to and express himself with, so he thinks she is trustworthy and willing to be the same kind of trusted company for her.
