How did the industrial revolution affect the role of women in the 19th century?
stich3 [128]
It had a huge affect on women. women's main job was to make and repair clothing but this all changed because of the revolution. Many farmers were forced off of their own land and move from the rural region to the urban center looking for work. This all caused what was once a traditional role for woman to the clothing now being made by factories because of this, woman had no choice but to look for jobs in Mills and mines. They also had to work now to help support their families at a very low wage
