Answer : The correct option is, (C) 12 in.

Step-by-step explanation :

As we know that when two object have same shape then they are similar. That means, when two triangles are similar then their ratios of lengths of their corresponding sides are equal.

As we are given that triangle PQR is similar to triangle XYZ. That means,

\frac{PR}{PQ}=\frac{XZ}{XY}

\frac{12}{20}=\frac{3}{XY}

XY = 4 in.

And,

\frac{PR}{RQ}=\frac{XZ}{ZY}

\frac{12}{16}=\frac{3}{ZY}

ZY = 5 in.

Now we have to calculate the perimeter of triangle XYZ.

Perimeter of triangle XYZ = Length XY + Length ZY + Length XZ

Perimeter of triangle XYZ = 4 in. + 5 in. + 3 in.

Perimeter of triangle XYZ = 12 in.

Therefore, the perimeter of triangle XYZ is, 12 in.

The first one is correct.

A hexagon has the weird property of having the radius and the side being of exactly the same length

The formula is A = 3 * sqrt(3) * a^2 / 2
where a = the side  or radius
A = 3 * sqrt(3) * 5^2 / 2
A = 3 * sqrt(3) * 25 / 2
A = 1.5 * sqrt(3) * 25
A = 64.95

A <<<< Answer (the first one is the answer.)

C
This one seems so much more entailed. Do you know what the cos law is? That's what I will use to find c.

c^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2*ab* cos(C)
C = 33 degrees
a = 2.75 miles
b = 1.32 miles

c^2 = 2.75^2 + 1.32^2 - 2 * 2.75 * 1.32 * cos(33)
c^2 = 9.3049 - 6.0887
c^2 = 3.2162
c = sqrt(3.2162) = 1.7934

Now you have to use this result to get the area. You have to use Heron's formula.

A = sqrt(s * (s - a) * (s - b) * (s - c) )
s = 1/2 the perimeter
s = 1/2 (2.75 + 1.32 + 1.7934)
s = 1/2(5.8634)
s = 2.9317
I'll finish this in the comments. I have to leave for a bit.
