Douglass portrays the slave traders and agents for slave traders as men auctioning for cattle instead of human beings. The slave traders and agents for slave traders at no point stop to think what they are doing is wrong, instead, it is business as usual and they are eager to acquire misbehaved slaves at steep discounts, much the same as farmers will bid pennies on the dollar for underweight farm animals.

Frederick Douglass offers a new outlook on equality in American slavery history. Douglass emphasized to everyone through his speeches and books that slavery was wrong and that everyone should respect each other.

Explanation:

• Who Is Frederick Douglass?

Frederick Douglass is one of the important figures in American society's history. Especially concerning the issue of slavery, which is also inherent in U.S. history until now. Frederick Douglass is an American social reformer. He's also known as an author, speaker, and politician.

Frederick Douglas was a later escaping slave. He led the abolitionist movement after escaping slavery. Many of Douglass's speeches, including his writings on the concept of slavery, might influence anyone. He opposed slavery strongly. Especially black slavery in the 19th century in the United States. Douglass's experience as a slave was bitter. He was separated from his mother from early stages and raised to the age of seven by his grandmother.

• Douglass Effects on Slavery in the United States

Douglass has been very active in campaigning in the United States for anti-slavery at a young age. All humans have the same role for him. Douglass encouraged the masters and slaves to work together to sweep out the system he had done wrong. Douglass just wants to preserve and respect each other in the United States.

One of his actions was to speak at a conference in 1841 about anti-slavery. In this speech, Douglas did not only talk about the issue of slavery but also women's rights. Then in 1845, Douglass produced an autobiographical book describing the U.S. slavery as "Frederick Douglass's Narrative of Life: An American Slave," and this book could finally arouse the thoughts of people about slavery.
