Suppose Canada has a population of 30 million people and a labor force participation rate of 2/3. Furthermore, suppose the natur
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

the unemployment rate is above the natural rate of unemployment

Explanation:

The unemployment rate may be defined as the percent of the unemployed people in a total labor force. Workers may be considered as unemployed when they do not work currently, but they are willing to work and are able to do so.

The total labor force of a country includes all the employed as well as the unemployed people within the economy.

The natural rate of unemployment is defined as the unemployment rate which exist in a growing economy.

In the context, total population is given = 30 million

Labor force participation rate = 2/3.

Therefore, labor force = 2/3 of 30 million

                                    = 20 million people

The natural rate of unemployment in Canada is given = 7%

The current unemployed people is = 2 million

Therefore, unemployment rate = (unemployed people/total labor force) x 100

                                                    = (2/20) x 100

                                                     = 10 %

Thus

natural rate of unemployment in Canada is 7%

unemployment rate is 10%

From here we can see that the unemployemnet rate is higher than the natural rate of unemployment in Canada.

Hence the answer is ---

the unemployment rate is above the natural rate of unemployment

GalinKa [24]

Answer and Explanation:

The amount that is included in Howard's gross income in this year will be $100,000.

It means that the gross amount that is paid by Bonnie to Howard while getting divorced will be added in the income of the Howard as she receives the amount.

  • Any kind of child support is not be added in gross income, but alimony payments in cash are to be included in income statement.

Thus, $30000 will not be added.

Propose 5 ways in which the government can ensure that the help they offer is received only by the people who are in need ?
meriva
I did this yesterday:

1. make it income based
2. make it so people have to re-qualify after 3 months
3. set the poverty level so only people under it can accept help
4. verify that people who are provided help, have used that help and aren't wasting it, letting it sit, or giving it away (depending on what it is)
5. make people work harder to have to get the need so that if they complete all the tasks required of them, you know they are truly in need and not just trying to pass it off as need. Like make them have to prove they are low-income, that they don't have a job, etc.
