The human pancreas is located posterior to the stomach and its head is laid next to the duodenum curve. It is composed of body head and tail. In cats, the pancreas is located caudal to the stomach and accompanies duodenum traject as well as the caudal line of the stomach. It is constituted of two lobes instead of a head, body and tail.
