I have called for personal sacrifice. I am assured of the willingness of almost all Americans to respond to that call. A part of

the sacrifice means the payment of more money in taxes. In my Budget Message I shall recommend that a greater portion of this great defense program be paid for from taxation than we are paying today. No person should try, or be allowed, to get rich out of this program; and the principle of tax payments in accordance with ability to pay should be constantly before our eyes to guide our legislation. –Four Freedoms, Franklin Delano Roosevelt "Aid” refers to the collection of money. What theme is shared by both documents? Sacrifice is the greatest act a citizen can make. Only certain citizens need to sacrifice for the greater good. Money should be collected from citizens only at certain times of the year. Sometimes, money needs to be collected from the people to pay for important national causes.

For when they took over land? well you have to know that Mexico did not want to give land to America. Eventually though, due to Mexico not having alot of people to live on said land they told Americans that they could settle there .. ONLY if they became Mexicans and they converted to Catholicism. Americans of coarse agreed...BUT......many didn't fuffil that promise . It could be said and arued that the domanent strategy for America was to settle on the land and take it over from the inside.
