Answer:

The first piano was invented in 1709 by an Italian harpsichord maker Bartolomeo di Francesco Cristofori.

The piano was first called gravicembalo col piano e forte, which roughly translates to “soft and loud keyboard instrument.”

According to many studies, learning piano may enhance a child's language building skills and overall academic achievement.

Piano is technically a stringed instrument, played percussively. However, unlike, say, a violin, the piano is played percussively with little hammers hitting its strings to produce sound.

The piano is usually used to play two parts simultaneously. This is one of its most unique qualities. With the piano, most of its music is written to provide chords and melody all played by one musician.

Most modern pianos have a row of 88 black and white keys, 52 white keys for the notes of the C major scale (C, D, E, F, G, A and B) and 36 shorter black keys, which are raised above the white keys, and set further back on the keyboard.

Explain and tell the theme and summary of bones and shadow poem by John Phillips Johnson.
Vikentia [17]

The theme of poem "Bones and Shadow" by John Phillips reflects on some human emotions, such as memories, grief and loneliness.

How does the author portray these themes in the poem?

Through the description of the poem's facts, the author helps the reader in the subjective understanding of the poem's central idea. We can see the protagonist's emotions in the following excerpt:

"She kept her bones in a glass case

next to the living room armchair,

and sometimes thought she heard

him meowing, like faint background music;

but if she stopped to listen, she disappeared."

In this excerpt, we notice that the woman misses her cat that died and as a souvenir she kept its bones in a box, which makes her have some moments of confusion about the imagination that her cat is with her and reality, when she realizes that she really is alone.

Therefore, the poem leads to a reflection on the characteristics of life, death and loneliness, with the bone box being a way for the woman not to disconnect from the memory of her cat and her emotions regarding its loss.
