Based on structural elements, what type of expository text does this excerpt from a 1917 Congressional address by President Wood

row Wilson
exemplify?
I am not now thinking of the loss of property involved, immense and serious as that is, but only of the wanton and wholesale destruction of
the lives of non-combatants, men, women, and children, engaged in pursuits which have always, even in the darkest periods of modern
history, been deemed Innocent and legitimate. Property can be paid for the lives of peaceful and innocent people cannot be.

Read the sentence. first thing in the morning, heather takes her dog for a walk. what verb tense is used in this sentence? prese
Kruka [31]
Because this is a subject of verb tenses, we focus on the verbs used in the given sentence. That would be 'takes'. To know which verb tense this is, let us examine each of the choices.

Present: Present tense verbs are expressed in their basic forms such as help, take, give, type, etc.

Present emphatic: This verb tense is used to give emphasis. It's hint word is the word 'does'. For example: She does take her dog to walk first thing in the morning.

Present progressive: This is written as 'is' + 'verb-ing' or 'are' + 'verb-ing'. For example: She is taking her dog for a walk.

Present perfect: This is written as 'has' or 'have' + past participle of the verb. For example: She has taken the dog for a walk.

So, from the descriptions, the sentence must be in simple present tense.

Can you proofread this? ik it is long but i need another opinion.
Rzqust [24]

-Are the words "Transition" and "Conclusion sentence" there because you used it as a guide, you are required to have them, or you need to put one in

-There was a little bit of a lot of word and sentence repeating, I feel like a different word choice could have been used, like synonyms. Like instead of knowledge being used 500 times, awareness or apprehension, understanding, or comprehension could have been used. Just look up synonyms of words you used a bunch of times or for bland (boring) words

- There is some punctuation that could be improved

- Flow is good, with a few choppy parts

- Other than those it is really good

-Let me know if you need anything else, I am more than happy to help
