In Chapter 25, the group moves to the well and Magnus brings Jack out. They update him out on the situation. Hearthstone tells them the dragon has a weak spot: his belly. Jack agrees, explaining to Magnus that a dragon’s hide is almost impossible to cut, but they do have chinks in their belly armor. He goes on that they would have to get the dragon to roll over somehow, which would be very difficult and even if they manage, a ring dragon’s blood is acid. Acid will not hurt Jack but could kill Magnus.
Magnus asks if Jack could just fight the dragon on his own, and Jack tells him that an act that powerful affects your wyrd, which means fate. Because of this, Magnus will have to perform the act himself. Blitz warns that the dragon’s curse could reverberate...
