Why do you think teenagers who belong to gangs are more likely to commit more serious crimes than other teenagers?

English

tangare [24]3 years ago

Answer:

Because they are in a gang ( they are gang members ) . In those gangs, they are exposed to the things ( crimes ) that occur there. They don't get guidance on what is wrong and what is right. They think that committing crimes is a normal thing because they are surrounded by people that do ( believe committing crime is a normal thing ). Whereas other teenagers know what is wrong and what is right ( committing crimes being wrong , they won't do it ) . They have people ( parents, family , friends etc ) that are there for them and support them. Teenagers in gangs might not have that . So being in a gang is ( sometimes) the only way for them to feel accepted, and they feel like committing crimes like the rest of the gang members is the only way that they can do that ( feel accepted).

2. When it comes to right-of-way, "first in, first out" means
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

Correct answer is C.

Explanation:

"Yield to any road users who arrived before you",

We can apply this to the road situation. When we are in a situation  of a four-way stop with no traffic light, the first car that arrives at the intersection has "the right of way" or he has the priority to go first. The location of the cars or their direction don't have any importance; the car that arrives first at the intersection has the priority to go first ( first in, first out).

What figure of speech is illustrated in this sentence? "All the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players."
artcher [175]
That is a metaphor, for it is a direct comparison to to unlike things (world as a stage, men and women as players), without using "like" or "as."

Which best describes the central conflict and its resolution in "To Build a Fire"?
Alchen [17]
The central conflict and its resolution in "To Build a Fire" is:

c. The man is in conflict with the extreme weather; the conflict ends when the man freezes to death.

Even though the man had conflicts with other characters in the short story, their conflicts arise from the central conflict of man needing to learn how to build a fire in order to keep warm amidst the extremely cold weather.
