Answer:

ok so slope intercept form:

the formula for slope intercept from is

y=mx+b

what each letter stands for"

m= is the slope of the equation

b= the y-intercept of the equation.

to solve for the slope and y-intercept:

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE:

3X+2Y=10

first off you want to get the Y on the out side so you would subtract:

3x  +  2y  =  10

-3x               -3x

-------------------------

*** the 10-3x you CANNONT DO because they are not like terms***

which would make the equation look like this:

2y = 3x + 10

now you have to get Y by its self so you would divide by 2 on both sides:

2y  =  3x  +  10

-2               -  2

----------------------

which would give you:

y= 3x  +  8

**the reason you dont divide the 2 with 3x is because you only need it to be on both sides**

Now with this equation you would be able to find the slope and the y intercept.

so you have

y  =  3x  +  8

remember your slope intercept formula y=mx+b

so your slope should be:

m(slope): 3

and your y-intercept should be:

b(y-intercept): 8

hope this helps you understand it better if not let me know and ill try to explain it better to you.

mart [117]

The simplified expression for the area of the rectangular table is Three-halves x squared, 3x²/2

What is the area of the rectangular table?

Since the carpenter built a square table with side length x. Next, he will build a rectangular table by tripling one side and halving the other.

To find the area of the rectangular table, we know that Area, A = LW where

  • L = length and
  • W = width

Now, since the length of the square is x, and the rectangular table has one side of the square tripled and halving the other side .

So,

let

  • length of the rectangular table = L = x/2 and
  • width of rectangular = W = 3x

So, the area of the rectangular table A = LW

= x/2 × 3x

= 3x²/2

So, the simplified expression for the area of the rectangular table is Three-halves x squared, 3x²/2

Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer:

A = w^2 + 38w + 352

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a Rectangle

Given L as the length of a rectangle and W as its width, the area is calculated as:

A = L.W

Bob's swimming pool has L = w + 14 and a width of W = w + 8. Additionally, there is a walkway around the pool 4 feet wide. This walkway adds 2*4=8 to each dimension, thus: L = w + 22, W = w + 16.

Calculating the area:

A = (w + 22)(w + 16)

Operating:

A = w^2 + 38w + 352
