In the book "we cast a shadow"' Nigel locked himself, Nigel locked himself in the classroom closet at school because he was afraid that he'll be discriminated against by other students.

  • We cast a shadow is a story about racial discrimination and its effect on society as a whole. Nigel was from Africa and even had a birthmark.

  • When he was going to school in American, his father was afraid that other students will mock him and racially abuse him. He was nervous as well on his first day at school and this made him lock himself in the classroom closet at school.
