Resource partitioning is the sharing of resources in nature which helps an organism to stave off competition and survive in the ecosystem.

As a result of limited resources and unlimited organisms in a niche, there is always competition about how those resources are shared and used by different members of the ecology.

Kelp color is a secondary color which is gotten from the mixture of the yellow and green color and is considered a form of green.

Kelp color is an example of resource partitioning because another form of the color green was created from a combination of two colors.
