The answer you are looking for is x=7.

Solution/Explanation:

Writing out the equation first

2(x+3)=20

Using the Distributive Property on the left side of the equation

2 times "x"=2x

2 times 3=6

So, therefore, you get:

2x+6=20

Now, subtracting 6 from both sides of the equation

2x+6-6=20-6

Since 6-6=0, this cancels out.

2x+0=20-6

2x=20-6

20-6=14. So, therefore,

2x=14

Divide both sides of the equation by 2

2x/2=14/2

Since 2x/2=x

And, since 14/2=7

You will get x=7

So, therefore, the final answer to this problem is x=7.

Hope this helped you. Good day to you.

Solution :

 • 2(x + 3) = 20

Simplifying the left side of the equation

 • 2x + 6 = 20

Transposing 6 to the other side

 • 2x = 20 - 6

Subtracting to get the final no.

 • 2x = 14

Cross multiplying we get

 • x = 14/2

Dividing it

 • x = 7

Henceforth, the solution of this eq. is 7

How can we calculate fracitons
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

To find a common denominator, multiply each part of a fraction by the denominator of the other fraction. For example, to find a common denominator for 1/3 + 2/5, multiply the 1 and 3 by 5 and multiply the 2 and 5 by 3. You should get 5/15 + 6/15. Then you can calculate the fractions.
