During the Age of Exploration, historians have used Glory, Goods, and God to explain the conquests made by the Europeans as they conquered lands (glory), looked for resources and ways (slavery) to gain wealth (gold). As part of this goal, it became easier when they used the name of God as their purpose to get the things they wanted.

Germany was just an ally that just particpated in the war due to being an ally of other countries that were involved in the war. However, in the end, Germany was blamed for all of the war and had to pay for the price, thus the Treaty of Versailles being created and Germany's military was significantly limited. Germany should have not been severely punished.
