D: Active in trade with others.

Explanation:

The Kingdom of Ghana was a kingdom in northwestern part of Western Africa. It had an excellent strategic location, as it was located right between the other West African kingdoms and empires in Northern Africa. This was hugely important because the majority of the trading routes were going through Ghana.

Because Ghana was in the center of the trade between the two regions it was very active in trading. This resulted in accumulation of lot of wealth from the trade, as it was not just the trading goods that Ghana was obtaining wealth from, but also taxes imposed on the trading goods that were passing through its territory.

What does "Just emerging from a state of barbarism, the Gov’t of the islands is as yet feeble…" tell you about how President Tyl
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

He sees the Hawaiian government and native Hawaiians as unable to manage themselves politically, as they are the fruits of barbarism and lack of civility.

Explanation:

President Tyler's words present a prejudiced and xenophobic conception common in imperialist and colonialist movements. Tyler, despises the Hawaiians' ability to command their homeland and accuses them of being barbarians, lacking civility, education and even reasoning, being unable to establish a beneficial government. Tyler used this misrepresented view of Hawaiians to justify America's dominance of Hawaii.

bekas [8.4K]
It would have been more likely for c)Chinese seeking railroad jobs to move to the West Coast. This was due to many rural Chinese men looking for a better life and to escape the Chinese Civil War. Since the West Coast was the closest, they would cross the Pacific Ocean and work on the railroads in California along the most Western part of the United States.
