Answer:

(8/9)x +y = (2/3)

Step-by-step explanation:

General standard form of an equation of a line is y = mx+b, where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept ( where the line intersects the y-axis.)

For points (-6, 6) and (3, -2)

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (-2-6) / (3-(-6)) = -8 / 9

y = (-8/9)x +b

Substitute any of the 2 points to find b. If we choose (x=3, y= -2) then

-2 = (-8/9)*3 +b, simplify (-8*3)/9

-2 = (-8/3)+b, add (8/3) to both sides

-2+(8/3) = b, find the common denominator and add the fractions

(-6+8)/3 =b

2/3 =b

The standard form of the equation of the line that passes through (-6,6) and (3, -2) is (8/9)x + y = (2/3)

ATHLETICS of 107 athletes surveyed about what sport they play, some play basketball. of those that play basketball , 48 play bas
aliina [53]

the number of athletes who do not play basketball is 26.

Step-by-step explanation:

DATA:

Athletes surveyed = 107 athletes

Athletes who play basketball

Athletes who play baseball = 48 athletes

Athletes who don't play baseball = 33 athletes

Athletes who play basketball = athletes who play baseball + athletes who don't play baseball

Athletes who play basketball = 48 + 33

Athletes who play basketball = 81

EQUATION:

Total athletes = Athletes who play basketball + Athletes who don't play basketball

107 = 81 + x

x = 107 - 81

x = 26

Therefore, the number of athletes who do not play basketball is 26.

Find the value of k
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

A straight line is equal to 180. The line AB is 180 degrees. This means 174 + angle = 180 for the angle between point D and B. It must be 6 degrees. This is the same angle as the angle between point A and C.

Line CD is also straight and equal to 180. On the line are the angles, 4k + 90 + 3k + 6 = 180. Solve for k by combining like terms and then using inverse oeprations.

4k + 90 + 3k + 6 = 180

7k + 96 = 180

7k = 84

k = 12

Guys/girls plz help i need help with this.

Answer:

8.83 x 10^-5 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

3.7 x 10^-6 grams of carbon power

0.000092 grams of ammonium carbonate

0.000092 = 9.2 x 10^-5

3.7 x 10^-6 = 0.37 x 10^-5

The difference:

(9.2 x 10^-5 ) - (0.37 x 10^-5)

= (9.2 - 0.37) x 10^-5

= 8.83 x 10^-5
