English

Hello there ☺️,

In my opinion, Anna's father might have bought the skull, so as to get money from the government to earn a living for him and Anna.

Most probably, he might have been so poor that he had no there option, but to make some money for their survival by saying that he got a crystal skull, which everyone thought was a relic from the last.

He didn't hide it, but was afraid that Anna might tell the secret . So, Anna's father had cooked up this story, which is fake.

Lynna [10]

Answer:

d). might not be able to help

Explanation:

Modal verbs are characterized as auxiliary verbs that aim to reflect the mood of the sentence. The different modal verbs show different moods like seeking or granting permission, advice, showing the probability of an event, ability, duty, etc.

In the given sentence, the correct modal verb to be used would be 'might' in order to neglect the 'possibility of him not helping her' irrespective of his wish whether he wants to do it or not. 'Might' is the modal auxiliary that is used to show the least possible actions or likelihood in past. Since the sentence is framed in past, it stands for 'least possibility' which is further being refuted by use of 'not.'

Differentiate between critical reading and analytical reading
Setler [38]

Answer:

Critical readers expect valid evidence to be given in the proposition itself, or at least referenced. Analytical readers intend to understand how a speaker has constructed a proposition, and for what purpose.

Scilla [17]

The best summary of paragraphs 1-16 is this:

C. Madame Loisel loses her friend's diamond necklace, and her husband goes all over the city to try to find it. Finally, they decide to buy a new necklace to replace the lost one. The new one is expensive. The couple pays half the amount in cash and saves money to pay off the rest.

What is the best summary for the text?

The best summary for the text is the one that shows the events in the text without inserting any personal opinions. As much as possible, the main ideas are covered in the summary.

Option C aptly describes the events in the text as Madame Loisel and her husband put in a lot of effort to find the diamond necklace.

Write 105 word paragraph about duties and responsibilities towards your parents
Dennis_Churaev [7]
Having kids as an adult can be tuff. It puts you in so many responsibilities and duties such as cooking and cleaning. As a parent, you will need to be there for your children through the ups and downs. Yes, sometimes you may feel like giving up but they are your responsibility for the rest of your lifetime. An example of a duty is to be a “nurse” when they get hurt. On the other hand, a responsibility is providing a roof over their head as well as food on the table. Parenting can be very hard as well as very easy. It all depends on what you are responsible for.

I don’t know is that is a good enough paragraph. :/
