Which is the best example of a secondary source document useful in the study of history?
Tamiku [17]
In order to answer this, you must have a clear understanding of the difference between a primary source and a secondary source. A primary source is one that has been written in the time period being studied. A secondary source analyzes key points, often based off of primary sources.

Knowing these definitions, we can conclude that the correct answer is (c) an academic analysis of key battlefield strategies. An academic analysis will provide insight on the topic being studied (in this case battlefield strategies), however it is typically not written with a direct connection to the time.

Which of these is NOT true of the Mongol rule in China? A) New technologies were introduced to the Chinese
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

New technology introduced to China is not a rule set by the Mongol rulers while in power in China

One of the rules set by Mongol rulers in power in China was one of the rules of dress in 1314 as a form of racial segregation, the researchers wrote in the article in the journal Chinese Cultural Relics.

Further Explanation:

The Mongol Empire was the second-largest empire in world history, only defeated by the British Empire, controlling about 33 million km ² at its peak, with an estimated population of over 100 million people and being the most powerful of all the medieval empires.

The Mongol Empire was founded by Genghis Khan in 1206 after uniting the Mongolian tribes who at that time often disputed with each other and began many conquests throughout the Eurasian continent which began with the conquest of the Western Xia Dynasty in North China and the Kingdom of Khawarezmia in Persia. At its peak, the Mongol Empire ruled much of Southeast Asia to central Europe. During its existence, Mongolia made cultural exchanges between the East, West and the Middle East around the 13th and 14th centuries.

The Mongol Empire was led by Khagan (Great Khan of Genghis Khan's descendants) for generations. After Genghis Khan's death, the Mongol Empire was divided into four parts namely; Yuan Dynasty (China), Ilkhanate (Persia), Chagatai Khanate (Central Asia), and Golden Horde (Russia). All of the divisions were led by Genghis Khan's descendants.

According to western historian R.J. Rummel, it is estimated that around 30 million people were killed under the rule of the Mongol Empire and about half the population of China was exhausted in the 50 years of Mongolian rule.
