Just as an example of many groups I may identify with, I definitely feel an attraction to the First Nations people in Canada and elsewhere. I think it is because of their long and interesting history in the Americas and the ones who first learned to live in is this sometimes inhospitable environment. Also, and related to this is their close ties to the natural world and respectful relationship to the land and water and their spirituality and belief in ceremony which I think is a way of showing respect and appreciation for ones surroundings.

Alexandra [31]
No, they're not exactly the same, but the difference my be a subtle one.

The result of warming is that things get warmer. The impact of warming
is the change that it brings in things that depend on temperature.

Results:
-- The average temperature of the air increases.
-- The average temperature of the oceans increases.
-- The polar ice caps partially or completely melt.
-- The mean sea level rises.

Impacts:
-- Deserts grow in area.
-- Plant and tree species spread farther away from the equator.
-- Some of today's prime farm land becomes barren.
-- The supply of fresh water on Earth is reduced.
-- The average energy in storms is increased.
-- Some of today's coastal land becomes gone.
