Answer:

They said they had never been there before.

Explanation:

According to the statement, this is Indirect or Reported Speech. It is normally used to talk about the past. So we commonly replace the tense of the words said. Reporting verbs are used. For example, 'say', 'tell', 'ask'. These words are even similar in meaning. Sometimes, we could use the word 'that' to explain the reported words.

Which statement about excerpts is true.
serious [3.7K]
Hello!

An excerpt is a section of a book, play, essay, etc. Because it comes directly from a piece of writing, it should always be enclosed in quotation marks.

An excerpt should always be cited as well, but it does not need to start on a new line.

I hope this helps answer your question! Have a great day!

List reasons for preferring remote or in-person learning. (It's for a school essay)
Inessa05 [86]
I would rather be in-person learning for many reasons. For example, while at home i feel obligated and i am told to clean while doing my work this makes it harder for me to focus and get work done, if i was at school this would not happen and i would have a quite place to do work. Another reason is socialization even though most teachers hate this idea many people have fallen into mental issues and need socialization in order to make them a happier and better person. My last reason is if i do not get something for me it is easier and more likely of me to ask the teacher right there for help i will most likely not do it over a computer,
