what is the temperature of an 11.2-l sample of carbon monoxide, co, at 744 torr if it occupies 13.3 l at 55 °c and 744 torr?
Genrish500 [490]

The temperature of an 11.2 L sample of carbon monoxide, CO, at 744 torr is 276.21° K or 3.06° C

For given question,

A sample of carbon monoxide (CO) occupies 13.3 l at 55 °c and 744 torr

We know that Charles's Law consists of the relationship that exists between the volume and the temperature of a certain quantity of ideal gas.

This law says that when the amount of gas and pressure are constant, the quotient between the volume and the temperature will always have the same value:

V/T = k

Studying two different states, an initial state 1 and a final state 2, it is satisfied:

\frac{V1}{T1} =\frac{V2}{T2}

In this case, you can apply Charles's law because it can be seen that the pressure is constant, with a value of 744 torr at the beginning and end of the analysis. Then, you know:

V₁ = 11.2 L

T₁ = ?

V₂ = 13.3 L

T₂ = 55° C

    = 328° K

Replacing in Charles's law:

\frac{11.2}{T1} =\frac{13.3}{328}

We solve above proportion to find the value of T1

⇒ 11.2 × 328 = T1 × 13.3

⇒ 3673.6 = T1 × 13.3

⇒ T1 = 276.21° K

⇒ T1 = 3.06° C

Therefore, the temperature of an 11.2 L sample of carbon monoxide, CO, at 744 torr is 276.21° K or 3.06° C

Write a eassy about Why children (define age) should be allowed to vote at elections?
Aleksandr [31]

                             Children & Voting

                       Consequences and both negative and positive sides

I think children should not be allowed to vote for things such as presidents, since it's a big responsibility. But I do think, early teens and teenagers (12+) should be smart enough to elect a candidate, and predict the consequences of their election.

If I vote for a person with a dirty history, I should predict there is no reason why he/she should suddenly be a clean person.

If I vote for a person with a clean history, but that doesn't seem to be willing to do or change anything, I should be able to predict that things will remain the same, if not worse.

Even if most children that age, are responsible enough to vote, it's a huge responsibility, and the truth is, newer generations are gradually loosing interest in politics, which means they will relatively become more politically naive, affecting their decisions.

Hope it helped,

Which of the following best describes the premise of family centered programs
Lorico [155]

The available options are:

A. Programs work better when caregivers understand families and involve them in respectful ways.

B. Communication goes one way: caregivers share information with families.

C. Families take a passive role in the education of their children.

D. Programs predetermine what will be offered and complete the planning and organizing.

Answer:

Programs work better when caregivers understand families and involve them in respectful ways.

Explanation:

Family-centered programs focus on cooperating with families to recognize and realize the families' unique situations adequately.

Hence, considering the available options, the accurate answer to the question is that "Programs work better when caregivers understand families and involve them in respectful ways, " as the best statement describes the premise of family-centered programs.

In other words, a family-centered program is the most practical means to secure the safety, permanency, and well-being of the families. It involves committing, enhancing, and assisting the families.
