Japanese Americans were forced to leave their homes in the West Coast and they were relocated due to rumors of treachery in reaction to Pearl Harbor events. Despite that, about 33,000 of them signed up for all US Armed Forces and branches, even in the Marines. Either by volunteering or because they were drafted, they served. Including children of Japanese immigrants, having being born as american citizens. Around  20,000 were in the army and it is known that over 800 of them were killed in action.
