The butterflies are flying, some above the trees,

Sucking nectar, just like the bees.

Summer is here.

The birds are singing up high,

One to another, just as they fly.

The days are getting longer,

As the sun’s light is getting stronger.

Roasting marshmallows at the time of the night,

Each telling stories, to spread around fright.

Fireflies popping from left to right,

Each giving off a glow, to brighten the night.

Watching the stars that shine in the sky,

Hoping for one that can even fly.

Summer is here,

And the colors of Autumn are waiting to appear.
