1. Original ratio of the bike and scooter is equals to :
=> 3 : 4, where 3 is the bike and 4 is the scooter
=> 48 bikes
=> original order = 64 scooter
=> 64 / 4 = 16
however, bike is more popular than scooter, so they changed it into new ratio:
=> 5 : 2 , where 5 is equals to bikes and 2 is equals to scooter.
=> 5 x 16 = 80 bikes
=> 2 x 16 = 32 scooter.

Does anyone know what X equals to
Dmitrij [34]
Best Answer

x means everything in algebra. It is a variable, which means that its meaning changes based on context. For example, x could be time, but it could also be cars. x is what all Mathematicians chase after and it is also the greatest tool at their disposal. x is generally called an independent variable because its value determines the output of a function. y, on the other hand, is the result of fooling around with x. It's a dependent variable, which means that y changes when x changes.

Answer:

See below ~

Step-by-step explanation:

Drawing the rectangle (Refer attachment)

Horizontal sides

  • There are two x-values present : 1 and 6
  • Find the difference
  • 6 - 1 = 5
  • The horizontal sides of the rectangle are 5 units long

Vertical sides

  • Two y-values are present : 4 and 5
  • Find the difference
  • 5 - 4 = 1
  • The vertical sides of the rectangle are 1 unit long

Perimeter

  • 2(Horizontal side + Vertical side)
  • 2(5 + 1)
  • 2(6)
  • 12
  • The perimeter of the rectangle is 12 units
