Answer:

B got it rite

Explanation:

The Invalid’s Story,” Mark Twain’s raucous story about a case of mistaken identities that eventually kills a man, is considered by many critics to have no literary value. Still, even though some critics have panned the story, it is often reproduced in collections of Twain’s stories and others have noted that it is a good example of the frontier-style humor for which Twain was known. The story details the unfortunate misadventures of two men on a train who mistake a gunbox and a piece of rotting cheese for a smelly corpse in a coffin. The two men try many tactics in an attempt to fight the smell of the “corpse,” but in the end, all of their efforts are fruitless. The themes range from mortality and the proper behavior towards the dead, to the power of imagination to overcome reason.

Quickwrite: When you hear the word challenges, what comes to mind? Is the word positive or negative? Based on your prior experie
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer and Explanation:

When I hear the word "challenges", I usually think of obstacles and difficulties, which means the word has a negative connotation to me. However, I do understand the necessity and importance of having challenges in life. Based on my prior experiences, I have come to believe challenges are what makes us grow and learn. Without any opposing force, we would not develop strength and resilience. Without a bit of fear, we would never know the thrill of an accomplishment. Of course, challenges can be harmful too. When they are too big or when the situation is unfair, a person can end up too frustrated to persist. When a challenge demands too much emotional energy, it might become a trauma, perhaps even causing anxiety in the future.

To those who do not know what to refer to:

Refer to "The Premature Burial", specifically this part: From the images of gloom which thus haunted me in dreams, I select for record but a single vision. I thought I was immersed in a cataleptic trance of more than usual duration and depth. Suddenly there came an icy hand upon my forehead, and an impatient, gibbering voice whispered the word "Arise!" within my ear.

I sat erect. The darkness was total. I could not see the figure of him who had woken me.

"Arise! did I not bid you arise?"

"And who," I demanded, "are you?"
