Using all the tools of description, write a description of your own room. Organize your description using one of the five patter
timama [110]

i think the question means to use all five terms of figurative languagein your paragraph.

which are:

1) simile

    definition: when the sentence is comparing something using like or as.

    ex: the stars were as bright as a sun. reading the book was like hell to me.

2) metaphor

    definition: when a sentence refers to one thing by mentioning the other

    ex: you light up my life

3) personification

    definition: when a sentence gives suman like qualities to something

    ex: the stars winked at me

4) hyperbole

    definition: when a sentence is over exaggerating something

    ex: my bag weighed a ton

5) idiom

    definition: it is when a sentence does not literally mean what it says

    ex: it was raining cats and dogs. (its not literally raining cats and dogs, it is trying to say that it is raining a lot without a rest)

there are more such as onomatopoeia(giving sound (ex: roar, bam, boom),

allusion(an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it(ex: “Hey! Guess who the new Newton of our school is?” – “Newton”, means a genius student, alludes to a famous scientist Isaac Newton.), etc. bu ti think ur teacher wants you to include the main five.

plz give me a brainliest!!!!

A ladder is leaning against a wall. The top of the ladder touches the wall at a height that is 5 feet less than the length of th
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

25 feet

Explanation:

Let the ladder be 'H' feet long

Given;

Ladder touches the wall at a height = H - 5 feet

The distance from the foot of the ladder to the wall = H - 10 feet

now a right angles triangle is formed by the system,

where,

Ladder forms the hypotenuse of the triangle

Height of the wall is the perpendicular

and, distance at the base is the base of the triangle formed

Therefore,

from the Pythagoras theorem, we have

H² = ( H - 10 )² + ( H - 5 )²

or

H² = H² + 100 - 20H + H² + 25 - 10H

or

H² = 2H² + 125 - 30H

or

H² -30H + 125 = 0

on solving the quadratic equation, we get

H² + ( - 5H - 25H ) + 125 = 0

or

H ( H - 5 ) - 25 (H - 5) = 0

or

(H - 5) × (H - 25) = 0

therefore,

we have

H = 5 feet and H = 25 feet

now,

H = 5 is not possible as this length of the ladder will lead to the negative distance at the base and also, the height of the at the wall be zero

Hence,

the length of the ladder is 25 feet

SCORPION-xisa [38]
The narrator means to characterize her neighborhood by describing its audioscape, the way it sounds as you’re walking through. Unlike other more prosperous neighborhoods where the background includes people laughing and talking, cars driving buying and perhaps sidewalk salesmen, the narrator’s neighborhood is quiet – no sounds of commerce, children playing, not even voices talking as the people wait for things to improve.
