Is this a question or ? explain a bit more.
Alexander Pope twisted the conventions of the epic poem in order to create a satirical tone in his poem The Ra pe of the Lock. Even though it follows the structure of an epic poem, if you read it, you realise that the poem is about how somebody stole a strand of a girl's hairm, which is pretty ridiculous for an epic poem. Belinda, the one whose curl got stolen, even calls for a fight to bring back the stolen piece of hair: "Belinda frown'd, Thalestris call'd her prude. "To arms, to arms!" the fierce virago cries, and swift as lightning to the combat flies."
