Answer:

Beginning - celery eating, neighbor's buffet

Middle - narrator gets jeans, meat at restaurant

End - Meg slurps a shake

Explanation:

The question above is related to the story entitled "The All-American Slurp," which was written by Lensey Namioka. At the beginning of the story, the Lins' family is seen having a hard time eating the "raw celery" which Mrs. Gleason prepared. In China, they would often boil the celery first before eating. This was followed by the buffet wherein they were invited for dinner. They didn't know that buffet dining would mean eating in the living room and not dragging some chairs towards the food area.

In the middle of the story, the mother finally bought the narrator some jeans because she saw how it was a necessity in America. They also ate at the Lakeview restaurant as a celebration for Mr. Lins' promotion in the company.

At the end of the story, Meg persuaded the narrator that they have some milkshakes, since Dairy Queen was just located down the street. The narrator ended up paying for the shakes since she was the host.

So, this explains the answers.

Is tom Buchanan honestly?
poizon [28]

Answer:

Most definitely! Tom Buchanan is your typical upper class snob. He married Daisy because she was the Golden Girl of the American Dream. He would never ever divorce her because having Daisy assures his status in society. He blatantly indulges in an affair with Myrtle purely for sexual gratification. He has no intention of marrying her and he clearly has no respect for her because he has no qualms in punching her when she takes the name of his wife. He's part of the reason Gatsby is killed because he tells Myrtle's husband that Gatsby was the owner of the car that ran over his wife. He just looks out for his own interests throughout the novel. He doesn't care at all and like Nick Caraway says, both he and Daisy retire to where people like them are rich together, smug and safe behind their wealth and status.

The purpose of technology is to solve problems and meet needs. True False
kenny6666 [7]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

Indeed, the main purpose of technology is to take our communication and our everyday functioning to another level. The last century's progress and modernization were inevitable. Technology growth is extremely fast and unstoppable. Like any kind of advance, the basic intention is always to develop humanity and perfect it.

Technology made global communication faster, easier, cheaper and more accessible. We are now able to talk to someone who is thousands of miles away or to see live broadcasts. Not to mention what did satellites, GPS or Google, for example.

More specific kind of technology meets high-level needs. Assistive technology helps people with disabilities function without much difficulty. There is no doubt technology made our lives easier.

However, when there is much use, there is also much abuse. Every day, we are victims of stealing, lying, offending, etc. on the internet. People found a way to misuse technology in order to achieve their goals. Think of hackers that can easily rob a bank, think of all fake profiles on social media or data theft. These are just basic examples of technology abuse, which ought to be controlled as much as possible.
