Ni: You ought to use "ni" when you want to connect two sentences or words in a negative way. "Do you like nature? -I don't like neither nature nor the things found in nature?" "¿Te gusta la naturaleza? -No me gusta <u>ni</u> la naturaleza <u>ni </u>aquello que se encuentra en ella"

You don't used "ni" in a positive way.

Con and sin:  "These chemicals are harmless without oxygen unless they are in contact with a heat source. "

"Estos productos químicos no son dañinos sin oxígeno, a no ser de que estén en contacto con una fuente de calor"

Tocar means to touch: "Inside the museums, you should not touch the antique pieces of art" "Dentro de los museos, no deberías tocas las piezas de arte antiguas"

Jugar means to play: "Kids used to play outdoors, now they play indoors"

"Los niños pequeños solían jugar afuera, ahora juegan adentro"

A sentence with both jugar and tocar: "You should't play with your food nor touch it with your dirty hand" "No deberías ni jugar con la comida ni tocarla con las manos sucias"

Gustar means to like something like food, a game, an animal or someone.

"I like pasta" "Me gusta la pasta"

Encantar means that you love something, food, animals, sports...

"I love soccer" "Me gusta el fútbol"

With both: "I like pasta but what I really love is a big juicy steak"

"Me gusta la pasta pero lo que realmente me encanta es un buen filete jugoso"

Last 2 questions I don't really get or understand what you have to do.

Queremos
Mrac [35]

Answer:

1. Ilógico (illogical)

2. Lógico (logical)

3. Ilógico (illogical)

4. Ilógico (illogical)

5. Lógico (logical)

Explanation:

1. The personal life of Marcela and Adrian is not mentioned, the text is only talking about the party, we could assume they go to the same university but it is not certain, they could be neighbors.

2. A formal party usually has appetizers, champagne and desserts, so according to the description of it, we can infer is a formal party.

3. In the paragraph: <em>"También vamos a tener </em><u><em>tu</em></u><em> postre favorito, pastel de chocolate"  =  </em><em>W</em>e will also have <u><em>your</em></u> favorite dessert, chocolate cake; is clearly stated that Marcela is referring to Adrian, given she is inviting him. Also the <em>possessive adjective, </em><u>your</u> in Spanish is referring to the second person singular, <u>tu</u>.

4. That information is incorrect, because Marcela mentions that Roberto is friend of Alfonso since they were kids. "<em>También vamos a darle una sorpresa a mi bisabuelo: </em><em>su mejor amigo de la </em><u><em>niñez</em></u><em>, Roberto</em><em>..." = We are also going to give my great grandfather a surprise: </em><em>his </em><u><em>childhood</em></u><em> best friend, Roberto...</em>

5. At the beginning of the invitation <em>"Adrián, te quiero invitar a la fiesta que vamos a hacerle a mi bisabuelo </em><u><em>Alfonso</em></u><em> por </em><u><em>su </em></u><em>cumpleaños" = Adrián, I want to invite you to the party we are going to make for my great grandfather </em><u><em>Alfonso</em></u><em> for </em><u><em>his</em></u><em> birthday. </em>It is stated that the celebration is on behalf of Alfonso.
