Why are punctuation marks important and why do you have to put them when writing something?

English

Punctuation marks are important for recognizing the end of a statement and or drawing some out with an ellipsis. If you do not put them at the end of your writing/sentence, unless using a question mark(?) or exclamation point(!), then the reader/grader will not be able to know where your sentence ends and the new one begins, therefor rendering it a run on sentence.

An onomatopoeia is a word that phonetically imitates, resembles or suggests the source of the sound that it describes. Onomatopoeia (as an uncountable noun) refers to the property of such words. Common occurrences of onomatopoeias include animal noises such as "oink", "miaow" (or "meow"), "roar" or "chirp".
