Why can social media often be described as an "echo chamber"? help me pls its a history question doesnt have to be a super long
Alenkasestr [34]

Question:  <em>Why can social media often be described as an echo chamber?</em>

I think that your answer is,

When people are on their cell devices and using the internet, they tend to block out things around them such as, someone telling them that on Tuesday someone will be calling them or, they have an important event coming up, and the person being told that is or was on their cell device at the time forgets what they were told. An echo chamber is when <em>someone isn't paying attention to the real world and is caught up in social media.</em>

What happened to the Federalists after the War of 1812?
Zinaida [17]

The correct answer is B: They were mocked as defeatists and traitors.

With the signing of the Treaty of Ghent in 1814 and the end of the War of 1812, many Americans viewed the Federalists as traitors. The Federalist Party  collapsed , leaving the Democratic-Republican Party  as the only political party in the USA until the mid- 1820s.

Why were the Southern states against protective tariffs?
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

In 1828, Congress passed a high protective tariff that infuriated the southern states because they felt it only benefited the industrialized north. But it shrunk English demand for southern raw cotton and increased the final cost of finished goods to American buyers.
