Find the slope of the line.

-7/4
Because where the next point meets is 7 across and 4 down. And since the line is going down then the slope is negative
When Determining positive and negative I like to think of it like I’m writing my name on the line, if my name goes down the line then it’s negative, but if my name is going up then it’s positive.
I hope this helps

Answer:

-4/7

Step-by-step explanation:

taking the 2 points and  counting the distance on the x and y axis, we get -4 on the y axis and 7 on the x axis. To clear up confusion you hay have, with slopes, the fraction isnt written as x/y, instead y/x.

Setler [38]
Let’s condense the original expression and see if that’s one of the answers

-1/2(-3/2 x + 6x + 1) - 3x

First we distribute the -1/2

((-1/2)(-3/2 x) + (-1/2)(6x) + (-1/2)(1)) -3x

3/4x - 3x - 1/2 -3x

Combine like terms

(3/4 x - 3x - 3x) -1/2

-21/4 x - 1/2

We could make this a mixed number

-5 1/4 x - 1/2

(Mixed number: 5 times 4 plus one gets the numerator)

So the answer is D

Find the volume of the composite figure to the nearest tenth. Use 3.14 for pi.
Vilka [71]

Given:

In the given fig,

The radius of the cylinder = 15 ft

The height of the cylinder = 26 ft

The height of the cone = 21 ft

The radius of the cone = 15 ft

To find the volume of the cone, the volume of the cylinder and the composite figure.

Formula

The volume of the given composite fig is

V = V_{1} +V_{2}

where, V_{1} be the volume of the cone.

V_{2} be the volume of the cylinder.

V_{1} = \frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2} h, r be the radius and h be the height.

V_{2} = \pi r^{2} h, r be the radius and h be the height.

Now,

Putting, r = 15, h = 21 and π = 3.14 we get,

V_{1} = \frac{1}{3} (3.14)(15^{2} )(21) cube ft

V_{1} = 4945.5 cube ft

Again,

Putting,

V_{2} = (3.14)(15^{2} )(26) cube ft

V_{2} = 18369 cube ft

Therefore, the volume of the composite fig = (4945.5+18369) cube ft = 23314.5 cube ft

Hence,

a) The volume of the cone is 4945.5 cube ft.

b) The volume of the cylinder is 18369 cube ft.

c) The volume of the composite figure is 23314.5 cube ft.
