9514 1404 393

Answer:

  • 3.46 pounds
  • 6.92 pounds
  • 13.84 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

The most accurate ratio of pounds to dollars will be found using the given numbers that have the most significant figures. Those are found on the last row of the table:

  pounds/dollar = 34.60/50 = 0.692

To find the other table values, multiply the dollar amounts by this constant of proportionality. The problem statement tells you to round the result to hundredths.

  $5 ⇒ 5.00 × 0.692 = 3.46 pounds

   $10 ⇒ 10.00 × 0.692 = 6.92 pounds

  $20 ⇒ 20.00 × 0.692 = 13.84 pounds

_____

You can also fill in the table by recognizing that $5 is one tenth of $50, so the number of pounds will be one tenth of 34.60 = 3.46. Then each of the following rows doubles the amount on the previous row.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simplify 4^(-2)
user100 [1]

hello there! Your answer would be 0.0625 or 1/16.

In this question, you are being asked to multiply 4 to the -2nd power. Your answer would be whatever the inverse of 4 to the 2nd power. Well, 4 to the 2nd power is equivalent to 16, or 16/1, so just slip the numerator and denominator values and you get 1/16. (In decimal form it is 0.0625)

I hope this helps and have a great day!

Why is 4X +5 a linear function <br> Why is y=X2 a nonlinear function
andreev551 [17]

y = 4x+5 is in the form y = mx+b which is slope intercept form. Anything in y = mx+b form is linear. It graphs out a straight line.

Contrast this with y = x^2 which is nonlinear because it graphs a curve that isnt a straight line. All quadratics like this graph out a parabola which resembles a bowl shaped curve.

Triangle sum (3x+1)^0+(10x-11)^0+(3x-2)^0=180
svetlana [45]

Answer:

  • x = 12
  • 3x+1 = 37°
  • 10x-11 = 109°
  • 3x-2 = 34°

Step-by-step explanation:

Perhaps you want to know the value of x or the measures of the angles?

__

Simplifying the given equation, you get ...

  (16x -12)° = 180°

  16x = 192 . . . . . . . divide by °, add 12

  x = 12

  (3x+1)° = (3·12+1)° = 37°

  (10x-11)° = (10·12-11)° = 109°

  (3x-2)° = (3·12-2)° = 34°

x is 12, and the angle measures are 37°, 109°, 34°.

Solve for x…..…………………
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

x = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

From the diagram, we find,

(2x - 16) + (x - 8) = 9

=> 2x - 16 + x - 8 = 9

=> 2x + x - 16 - 8 = 9

=> 3x - 24 = 9

=> 3x = 9 + 24

=> 3x = 33

=> x = 33/3

=> x = 11
